Soy Phospholipid Mixture has been used as a purified lipid standard in thin layer chromatography for the quantification of whole-cell lysates and mitochondrial lipids from yeast cells.

Phosphatidylcholine is an acetylcholine synthesis substrate. It nourishes the brain. Phosphatidylinositol plays a key role in neural transmission by acting as a secondary messenger precursor. They are used in generation of the liposomes for carrying drugs. Phospholipids possess hydrophilic colloid property.
