生物化学的／生理学的作用
ベンラファキシンはセロトニン・ノルアドレナリン再取り込みのデュアルインヒビターであり、Ki値はそれぞれ82 nM、2480 nMです。一般的な抗うつ薬に分類されます。
ベンラファキシンは抗うつ薬の一種です。ヒトにおけるベンラファキシンの抗うつ作用のメカニズムは、CNSの神経伝達物質の活性を増強することにあります。ベンラファキシンは神経細胞のセロトニンとノルエピネフリンの再取り込みを強力に阻害するとともに、ドーパミンの再取り込みもわずかに阻害します。in vitroにおいてムスカリン、ヒスタミンレセプターやα1アドレナリンレセプターに対する有意な活性はありません。また、MAOインヒビターとしての活性はありません。
