General description
Myelin-associated glycoprotein (MAG),a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily, is a membrane glycoprotein of 100 kDa, and is thought to be involved in the process of myelination. Axonal regeneration in the adult central nervous system (CNS) is limited by two proteins in myelin, Nogo and MAG. MAG has been implicated in the inhibition of nerve regeneration in the CNS.
Specificity
Detects Myelin Associated Glycoprotein (MAG) in immunohistochemistry on frozen sections, immunocytochemistry and Western blot (under non-reducing conditions). MAB1567 is useful for myelinogenesis and multiple sclerosis studies.
Immunogen
L2 epitope carrying glycoprotein extract of 1-2 day old chicken brain.
Application
Detect Myelin Associated Glycoprotein using this Anti-Myelin Associated Glycoprotein Antibody, clone 513 validated for use in IC, IH & WB.

MS pathology is potentially orchestrated by autoreactive T cells, but the antigens recognized remain unknown. A novel APC/T-cell platform was developed to determine intrathecal CD4(+) and CD8(+) T-cell responses to candidate MS-associated autoantigens (cMSAg) in clinically isolated syndrome (CIS, n

Oligodendrocyte progenitors respond to biophysical or mechanical signals, and it has been reported that mechanostimulation modulates cell proliferation, migration, and differentiation. Here we report the effect of three mechanical stimuli on mouse oligodendrocyte progenitor differentiation and identify the molecular components
