Application

Interleukin-2 human has been used to assess changes in tumor necrosis factor receptor 1 (TNFR1). It has also been used in TNFR2 expression on Tregs.

Biochem/physiol Actions

Interleukin 2 (IL2) is a pro-inflammatory cytokine. It consists of three subunits, in which the β subunit is important for receptor mediated signaling. IL2 enhances the development of T regulatory cells and plays a crucial role in antitumor immunity.
Interleukin-2 (IL-2) is an immunomodulatory factor produced by certain subsets of T lymphocytes. This lymphokine promotes long term growth of activated T cells and related cell types. IL-2 plays a role in the activation and proliferation of NK cells, induces γ-interferon and B cell growth factor secretion, and modulates the expression of the IL-2 receptor.

Physical form

Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered solution in 50 mM sodium phosphate buffer, pH 7.0, containing 0.1% human serum albumin per 0.1 mL of cytokine.

Analysis Note

The biological activity is tested in a cell proliferation assay using an IL-2 dependent murine cytotoxic T cell line, CTLL-2.
