McCown′s Woody Plant Basal Salt Mixture is the non-vitamin component (chemstock) of the Woody Plant Medium (WPM) is used for propagation and elongation of root cultures.

Application

McCown′s Woody Plant Basal Salt Mixture has been used to culture apical and axillary buds. It has also been used to subculture individual shoots for the establishment of shoot tips in tissue culture.

Formula variant

With the macro- and micronutrients as described by Lloyd and McCown (1981).
