紅藻（Rhodophyceae）のagarocyteから寒天（A型）が抽出されます。多糖類の複合体であり、中性のゲル化画分であるアガロースと非ゲル化画分であるアガロペクチンからなります。A型寒天は熱可逆性ゲルを生成し、植物細胞培養に最も適しています。
アプリケーション
